Lily is 7 Months Old

I cannot believe that Lily turned 7 months old yesterday. Within the past two weeks she has gone from taking one step crawls, to moving across a room in no time. She is a pro at sitting up too. She loves music and is just fascinated with everything these days. I love just sitting and watching her try and figure things out. She is also very vocal, and has the best time just talking to PaPa, the dogs, and me. Time really flies.

New Beginnings and Lily is 4 1/2 months Old

It has been a while since I have posted anything. Most people do not know, but my divorce from Andy was finalized on 07/31/09. It has been such an emotional time for me since he left back at the end of December, but time heals all wounds. My family has been my saving grace. The one thing Andy and I did do right was make our beautiful little girl Lily Grace.
I cannot believe that Lily is already 4 1/2 months old. She is such a great baby and my pride and joy. She is finding everything so funny these days. She is playing more with her toys, but still HATES tummy time. She has been sleeping through the night since she was about 10 weeks old, which has been a saving grace for me. She is doing well at daycare and her teachers and the director just love her, they say she has not fussed once since she started.
Poor baby was sick last week with a stomach bug, but I have to say she was great through the whole thing, she hardly fussed and she never had a fever. Poor thing just could not keep anything down for about 2.5 days. She finally was able to keep a little milk down on Sunday and has been doing well since.

I should be done with my medical transcription course by the end of October and then do that part time until I get the hang of it, then hopefully I can quit my job and stay home with Lily and do transcribing full time. I just hate that I have to be away from her and really do not want to miss out on the big things in her life, like her first steps and her first word. My goal is to be able to quit by next April to June. Plus, since it is only me raising her, I just want to be able to give her all that she needs.

I Cannot Believe She is already 6 weeks old

Well, I cannot believe that my Lilypad is already 6 weeks old. She has really started to talk to me and I noticed her smiling on Tuesday night. We started rice cereal before bed about 3 weeks ago and she is able to sleep 5 hours in a row now, it has been really nice.

She is the best baby and just so beautiful. She amazes me everyday. It is truly a blessing to be a mom to her.

We met up with a couple of friends this week for lunch, I love getting the chance to show off my little one. She has also been up to my sister's beauty salon about 5 times, my sister eats Lily up. I only have 5 more weeks off and then it is back to work. It will be hard but I have to do it since I am a single mom. I will alawys treasure this time that I have had with her forever.

Lily is a week old today

Sorry it has been a while since I updated the blog, but Lily is here and such a great baby. I just love her so much!
She was born on April 22, 2009, by C-section. She was too big for me to deliver naturally and my pelvic bones never moved out enough for her head to pass through them anyway. I cried when I heard her cry for the first time, truly the most amazing feeling in my life. My mom and dad stayed in the operating room with me and held Lily right by my head the whole time.
We got to come home on Saturday and I am just taking things one thing at a time so I do not get overwhelmed. We had our first doc appt yesterday and the doc said she was perfect.

2.5 weeks to go

Went to the doc on Thursday and had my last sonogram, and Lily is already 6lbs and 10 ozs. She is in position, so now we are just playing the waiting game. They started my physical exams too and those are not so much fun. I am not dialated yet and Lily has not dropped. If Lily is not here by 04/22, then my doc will be inducing me on 04/23. I cannot wait to meet her!

March 19, 2008

Went to doc and had just one of the quick visits. I am measuring at 34 weeks and Lily's heartbeat is still in the 140s. My doc is suppose to be out of town on my due date so we have decided to induce labor if Lily has not decided to come on her own by 04/23. I cannot believe I only have 5 weeks left.
Next appt I will have a sonogram just to make sure Lily is in the right position and she how much she weighs at that point. My doc can tell she will be a big baby already, YIKES. The doc will also start the fun physical exams.
Stay tuned...

March 6, 2009

I had a doctor's appt on Friday, and everything is moving along great. She is already 4.5lbs, and he thinks by the time it is her time she may be 8lbs or more, YIKES. My doc is scheduled to be out of town on the day that I am due, so we talked about inducing me on 04/24, and I think I am going to go that route, because I would rather him deliver Lily rather than one of his associates. Reality really set in when we were discussing the option, I am going to be a mom in 6 weeks from this Friday! I am so excited to meet her!

3D Sonogram

I went on Friday and had a 3D sonogram done, it was the coolest thing and we think that Lily has my lips and nose. We had tried the Monday before, but my little stinker kept moving her head back, she did not want to be seen I guess. I have posted a picture of what we were able to get and I just cannot wait to meet her.

February 19, 2009

Went in for my doc appt and had a sonogram done today. Lily is already 3lbs and 11oz. I could not believe it. The doc is thinking we are going to have a big baby to deliver come time for me to deliver. I got to see her hair forming, and was just amazed. She is already in position, she just needs to turn her body a little bit so her face is facing my back. Her feet are up in my chest, but I could have told you that just from these past 3 weeks of discomfort, but only 9.5 weeks left so I think I can hang in there.
The doc thinks she will be coming between April 23 and 28, but if she is not here by April 30th, he wants to induce. He said he is not a big fan of letting his patients go past their due date. I start my prepared childbirth classes next Wed night and I am a little nervous. It is getting down to the wire.
The crib and dresser came in yesterday and we are having them delivered this weekend.

I have uploaded a few of the portraits my friend Jeff took of me this past Sunday.

Coast is Clear

I went into the drs office yesterday to get my Rh negative shot and they told me that my glucose test turned out normal, so the coast is clear. I was scared that it would come back positive and I would have to change my diet, which we all know how picky I am so that would have been a challenge. I did find out that my bloodwork showed I was a little anemic so I have to start taking iron pills.

My friend Jeff is going to be taking my pregnancy portraits this Sunday so as soon as I have pictures back from that I will post them. I finally posted a few pictures from a couple of weeks ago. She is definitely a mover and I feel like her foot is stuck in my chest all the time. She stretched last night and that felt so funky and kind of hurt. I have a feeling we are going to have a fiesty little girl on our hands.

I also will be getting a 3D sonogram done on Monday and cannot wait to see if we can tell who she is going to look like.

Another doctor's appt

Yesterday, went to the doctor for a check up. I measured right at 24.5 weeks, which is right on schedule. Her heartbeat is still really strong. My blood pressure came down, so my doctor was happy, and he is also happy with my weight gain.
Next appointment, I will do the glucose test. They also will do the Rh negative shot. I promise I will get a picture of my belly on the post soon, just have had too much going on to download my pictures.
